Justus: born Justus Pedius Ralla, Flavia’s husband, Roman soldier, always age 30

Mattias (Matt): Artorius’s adopted son, an entertainer, loves animals, always age 19.

Ecatya: ex-slave, Lucas’s lover and soulmate.

Ginevra: Lucas’s wife, Alexander’s soulmate.

Flavia: Justus’s wife and soulmate, older sister to Lucas and Alexander.

Demetra: Mattias’s young wife and soulmate.

Junia: Alexander’s wife who dies in childbirth.
